Ronald Acuña Jr., born December 18, 1997 in La Guaira, Venezuela, is a professional Major League Baseball Right Fielder currently playing for the Atlanta Braves. He began his professional baseball career by signing as an international free agent with the Braves in August 2014.
Acuña’s 2023 season was his best yet. He won three Player of the Month awards and was again the highest vote getter for the All-Star game. On July 23, he became the first player in MLB history to tally 40 stolen bases, 20 home runs and 50 RBIs before the All-Star break. He also became the first player in MLB history to record 40 home runs and 70 stolen bases in the same season. That season he won his first National League MVP award which he won unanimously. Acuña Jr. was also named to the All-MLB First Team and won his first Hank Aaron Award.
