Cristian Mena born on December 21, 2002, in Pimentel, Dominican Republic, is a professional baseball pitcher for the Reno Aces. He signed with the Chicago White Sox on July 2, 2019.
Mena began his journey as one of the standout pitchers in Chicago’s 2019 international class. In 2021, he marked his professional debut, showcasing remarkable talent despite being one of the youngest starters (18) in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League, where he led in strikeout rates. His dominance extended to Single-A in the first half of the previous season, and he even held his own in High-A, making three starts in Double-A as a teenager as part of the organization’s Project Birmingham. Throughout his inaugural full-season debut, he consistently demonstrated impressive velocity, with his fastball consistently reaching 94 mph.
