Rimas Sports, the sports management agency bringing higher representation to Latin athletes, is thrilled to announce the signing of New York Mets star Francisco Álvarez. Previously recognized as the organization and baseball’s top prospect, the Venezuelan catcher is successfully transitioning into a starting role with the Mets. With this move, Álvarez joins Rimas Sports’ stellar list of clients, which includes Santiago Espinal (Toronto Blue Jays), Marco Luciano (San Francisco Giants), Wilmer Flores (San Francisco Giants), Ezequiel Tovar (Colorado Rockies), Jordan Díaz (Oakland Athletics), and Ronny Mauricio (New York Mets), among others. This significant addition reinforces the company’s commitment to the development and promotion of Latin talent.
Widely regarded as one of the most promising young stars, Álvarez has been making waves with his exceptional performance since his arrival to the Mets organization in 2018. In 2021, his first full-season, he showcased his power by boasting a .272 batting average, a .388 on-base percentage, and a slugging percentage of .554, belting 24 home runs in just 99 games at Single-A and High-A levels. Continuing his display of immense power, he followed up with an impressive 27 home runs in 112 games at Double-A and Triple-A in 2022.
