quiel Fernández born on January 1, 2003, in Havana, Cuba, is a professional baseball outfielder for the Hartford Yard Goats. He signed with the Colorado Rockies on July 12, 2019.

The Rockies had a great international signing period in 2019 and Fernández was one of their top signings. He is known for his plus power at the plate, given by his 52 Home Runs in 3 Minor League seasons. The right fielder defensively has a great arm. He has been named two times an MiLB.Organization All Star and was selected to the Futures Game in 2023.

Since his signing with the Rockies in 2019, the 21 year old has been considered one of the best prospects in the organization’s system. He is currently their 3rd best prospect.
